Ni Jie
Co-Founder & Chairman
He was born in 1961 in Dongyang, Zhejiang Province. In 1986, received a Master's degree in Information and Systems Specialty from the Department of Radio Electronics, University of Science and Technology of China. He served as a Standing Committee member of the 5th-8th Jinhua Municipal Committee of the CPPCC as well as the Vice Chairperson of the China Power-Assisted Bicycle Professional Committee.

Hu Jihong

She was born in 1965 in Anqing, Anhui Province. In 1988, she earned Master's degree in Power System and Automation from Hefei University of Technology; In 2014, She held an EMBA from CEIBS.
Deputy to the 12th Shandong Provincial People's Congress, the vice president of the Zhejiang Provincial Brand Building Promotion Association, and an off-campus industry mentor for master's students in mechanical majors at Harbin University of Science and Technology.

Hu Jihong

Hu Jihong was a pivotal driver in the industrialization of China's two-wheeler EV's industry, leading its marketing journey from the laboratory to consumer product.

As an industry trailblazer with deep engineering expertise, she independently designed the circuit diagrams in 1996, creating the first mass-producible EV, which was also the LUYUNA's first. In the industry's infancy, she spearheaded the design of the first-generation hit products like the THD9. She later went on to launch a series of blockbuster models, including the HMK, INNO9, and S70. With the evolution of the market and consumer demand, she took the lead in establishing the smart riding/ healthy e-bike category and built the "All-Scenario, Active Mobility" product portfolio.

Her steadfast focus on independent core technology development has positioned LUYUAN as a pioneering force in frame platform, 3-electric systems, and safety components, ensuring its enduring market leadership.

She has embodied strategic long-termism, and driven multiple corporate transformation, leading LUYUAN through multiple cycles with steady growth. Her explorations and practices in internal management, business models, new technology application, and product innovation have set industry benchmarks.

She prioritizes and implements standardized and systemic governance. In 2002, she pioneered digital shift by creating an IT dept and implementing ERP, OA, and CRM systems, leading to LUYUAN being "Information Technology Demonstration Enterprise." Under her leadership, LUYUAN became an industry-acclaimed management-oriented enterprise. Pioneered welding robots, marking a new era of Smart Manufacturing 1.0. in 2008, and constructs & upgrades of 4 smart manufacturing bases, culminating in the full launch of a "Future Factory" and establishing a fresh industry standard.

She instills a unique cultural soul into the enterprise. Foundational principles like studying philosophy, mastering tools, physical exercise, and cleanup produce enduring impact, forming a core soft power that drives LUYUNA's sustainable development.

·In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, LUYUAN not only ensured strict epidemic prevention measures and safe production within its own operations, but also proactively fulfilled its corporate social responsibility by donating medical protective supplies, daily necessities, and two-wheeled E-vehicles to affected areas. ·LUYUAN established strategic partnerships with world-class icons: the elite football club Real Madrid, and the beloved global characters Doraemon and Hello Kitty. This inaugurated a new phase of cross-industry collaboration and marketing. The ""Real Madrid Family"" product series was launched in the same year.

·With the launch of "Safety Strategy", LUYUAN established "Safety as Standard" for the brand.

·LUYUAN's Northern Base officially commenced operations, with its first batch of qualified products rolling off the production line. This milestone symbolized the completion of LUYUAN's layout and coordinated advancement in both the north and south of China.

·LUYUAN fully launched Green Battery Project (UGB). Functioning as a comprehensive chain operation integrating battery sales, testing, repair and maintenance, this initiative marked a significant new step for LUYUAN in the battery sales and after-sales service sector.

· LUYUAN factory obtained a World Manufacturer Identification (WMI) code.

· LUYUAN was the first to use a new type of brushless motor - the LUYUAN Program Motor, introducing the first high-power electric vehicle. Equipped with EABS electromagnetic brake system and energy recovery technology, energy is recovered during braking.
2002

·LUYUAN made its first appearance overseas, participating in the Cologne Exhibition in Germany. The LUYUAN factory obtained ISO environmental, quality, health system certification.

·LUYUAN introduced motorcycle-inspired design aesthetics and became the first in the industry to launch a premium model series, sparking a revolution in product styling.

LUYUAN filed its first application for a national patent. Since then, LUYUAN's patents have sprung up like bamboo shoots after rain, providing a solid technological foundation for the company's development.

The draft industry standard for dedicated electric vehicle batteries was completed in Jinhua, and this standard was officially implemented in 2001. The relevant industry standards jointly developed by LUYUAN and industry peers have had a profound impact on the sound early development of the entire electric vehicle industry.
1999
LUYUAN received its first foreign trade order and hosted its first foreign visitor at the factory. LUYUAN hosted the national standard meeting for electric vehicle batteries and completed the initial draft of the standard in Jinhua.
1998

·LUYUAN was honored with the title of "Zhejiang Consumers' Preferred Brand," marking its first official accolade. This recognition served as a tremendous affirmation and inspiration for all those working in this industry.

·LUYUAN hosted and participated in the drafting of the national "General Technical Specifications for Electric Bicycles" standard. This effort contributed to the release of the "General Technical Conditions for Electric Bicycles" by the State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision in 1999. This act provided crucial guidance for the industry's standardization and healthy development, and laied the foundation for industy's subsequent rapid growth.
1997

·LUYUAN applied to register its trademark with the China Trademark Office. The name "绿源" (LUYUAN), meaning"Green Energy" and symbolizing a "Connection to Green," embodied the company's vision. A team and a brand began an entrepreneurial journey, successfully launching and selling the first generation of LUYUAN electric vehicles that same year.

·LUYUAN was permitted to operate its products as non-motorized vehicles after Jinhua Government issued an official "notification," The first batch of LUYUAN's 2-wheeled electric vehicles was introduced for trial sales in the city, generating significant public attention.
1996
Mr. Ni Jie as General Manager of Jinxin Technology Venture Capital Company, established an electric vehicle project team and appointed Hu Jihong as its technical lead. Working in a modest underground laboratory of less than 15 square meters, the team spent three months completing the product's design and modification, successfully building the first electric vehicle and conducting a triumphant test ride.
