LUYUAN FAQ covering e-scooter riding safety, charging safety, vehicle configuration and after-sales service

How to carry out daily self-inspection of electric scooters before riding?

Check battery level, braking performance, tire pressure, lights, dashboard and fasteners before riding. Confirm no liquid leakage or damaged wires prior to departure.

What should I do if the vehicle fails to start suddenly?

Check battery power, main power switch, brake cut-off switch and wiring connectors one by one. Contact local distributors for professional maintenance if self-check fails.

Does the warranty become void if I refit the scooter privately?

Unauthorized modification of original parts including motors, batteries, circuits and braking systems will damage the vehicle’s safety and electrical structure, which voids the warranty for any subsequent faults.

How long is the warranty period for lithium batteries and tires?

1. Original lithium batteries follow the unified whole vehicle warranty policy of LUYUAN.

2. Tires are classified as wearing consumables, with two separate warranty standards:

① Anti-puncture tires: 12 months or 10,000 km from production date, whichever comes first. Only natural cracking, splitting or internal delamination caused by manufacturing defects are covered. Damage from external impact is excluded from warranty.

② Standard / E4 certified tires: 3 months from production date. Only factory production defects are eligible for warranty; normal wear, punctures and impact damage are not covered.

3. Normal abrasion generated during daily riding is not included in the warranty scope for all tire types.

How does the TCS anti-slip system work on slippery roads?

TCS monitors wheel speed difference in real time. It automatically limits motor power output once wheel slip is detected to prevent skidding, delivering stable performance during startup, turning and braking on wet surfaces.

What performance benefits do ceramic brakes bring compared to ordinary brakes?

Ceramic brakes maintain stable friction coefficient without heat fading on rainy or hot days, offering shorter braking distance and lower wear rate. They deliver smooth braking feel and higher riding safety in long-term use.

What advantages does LUYUAN liquid-cooled motor have over ordinary motors?

The liquid cooling system realizes efficient heat dissipation with low temperature rise and less power attenuation. It maintains stable performance during climbing or high-speed rides and boasts a much longer service life than standard air-cooled motors.

What’s the difference between S70, S70 Pro and S90 series?

S70 is a basic urban commuter model. S70 Pro is upgraded with hydraulic shock absorbers and widened footboard for better durability. S90 is equipped with high-power liquid-cooled motor, delivering stronger performance on range, climbing and top speed.

How do I choose the suitable LUYUAN e-scooter for my daily use?

Select models according to your daily commuting mileage, passenger & cargo carrying needs, road gradient and local traffic regulations. Pick high-performance series for long-distance travel, and lightweight entry-level models for short daily trips.

How to Extend the Battery Life?

1. Charge on time. Please do not drain the battery power to the minimum every time you use it. You can charge when the remaining power is about 25%.

2. Charging process. When charging, plug in the battery first, then plug in the power supply. After fully charged, cut off the power supply first, then unplug the battery plug.

3. Charge after cooling down. Do not charge immediately after each long-distance ride. Wait for the battery to cool down for 20 to 30 minutes before charging.

4. Prevent power loss. When the electric vehicle is not used for a long time, the battery should be charged normally once a month, and long-term storage in a 'power loss' state is strictly prohibited.

5. Use original accessories. Please use the original and genuine charger from the manufacturer. Non-standard chargers will reduce the service life of the battery.

6. Regular inspection. When the battery performance decays, you should go to the local repair shop for inspection to confirm whether the battery needs maintenance or replacement.
