In our energy conservation and emission reduction initiatives, the group adopts a multi-faceted approach, actively implementing measures to reduce energy consumption and minimize environmental pollution.
Regarding production equipment, we continuously improve our production equipment and processes to enhance production efficiency while decreasing energy consumption. Additionally, we conduct regular maintenance on the insulation of steam pipelines to reduce heat loss and improve energy utilization efficiency.
In terms of factory environment, we make full use of natural light and optimize the wall area ratio and roof transparency ratio to reduce reliance on artificial lighting. We have also optimized the lighting in certain factory corridors, reducing the total number of fixtures. For example, we have replaced the lighting fixtures in the material unloading area, finished goods warehouse entrances, and loading areas with more energy-efficient LED lights. Moreover, we have implemented zoning, grouping, and timed automatic switches in some public areas to minimize unnecessary electricity consumption. Some public area lighting fixtures have also been equipped with motion sensors or solar-powered lights to further reduce energy consumption while meeting lighting needs. Simultaneously, all factories are equipped with smart electricity meters that analyze energy usage, power factors, and subsequent production planning through data integration, achieving intelligent and refined energy management.
To strengthen the organization and coordination of energy management, the group has established an Energy Management Leadership Team, led by the general manager, who is responsible for decision-making regarding energy management. The team works closely with other departments to handle and coordinate daily affairs. Each department and workshop has appointed part-time energy managers responsible for supervising and inspecting the energy utilization status within their respective areas. These managers play a crucial role in daily operations by closely monitoring energy usage, promptly identifying issues, and taking corrective measures for improvement.
To ensure that all energy-saving management measures are effectively implemented, we conduct routine energy inspections daily, weekly, and monthly. Daily inspections focus on the safe and rational use of electricity in various departments, with special emphasis during the evening on checking the power supply to office spaces after shifts, production equipment, and facilities. Weekly checks focus on equipment conditions, preventing leaks, and ensuring electrical safety. Monthly inspections are organized by the Safety and Environmental Protection Department and involve comprehensive assessments that analyze resource and energy consumption, including checking for leaks in water and gas pipelines and balancing electricity usage during peak and off-peak hours.
Additionally, the group conducts at least one large-scale self-inspection of energy metering each year to evaluate the effectiveness of energy management. Through these self-assessments, we gauge the familiarity of departmental metering managers with energy measurement tasks and the implementation of energy-saving targets. We also examine the energy consumption of individual production equipment to determine if optimizations are needed to enhance energy efficiency. Furthermore, we review the sealing and periodic calibration of measurement instruments to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
We impose fines for significant water and electricity waste resulting from non-compliance with energy regulations, thereby strengthening the accountability of energy management. This serves as a reminder for employees and management to strictly adhere to energy management regulations and collectively protect the company's energy interests.
